Our office was notified yesterday that all Community Environment Day events have been cancelled until July 31. This decision is being made to slow the spread of COVID-19. The City of Toronto is extending the cancellation of City-led and City-permitted major festivals and events with attendance of more than 250 people through July 31st.
Solid Waste will re-assess scheduled events after July 31st as they continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation.
In addition, Solid Waste will continue to postpone compost deliveries in order to exercise appropriate social distancing.
